WINFREE CEMETERY
Abraham Winfree (1802-1866) came to Orange County, Texas, in 1830. Abraham and his wife, Millie Arthur, settled in what became known as Winfree Community.
Abraham and Millie had ten children. Their son, William Arthur Winfree,
and his wife, Sarah Ellen (Ellie) Teal, are buried in this cemetery. The
oldest grave in the cemetery (1880) is the the grave of their infant son.

Winfree Family
A son of William Arthur Winfree and Ellie Teal (and grandson of Abraham), William
Arthur (Will) Winfree, and his wife, Elizabeth Ann Michell, established this cemetery as a family cemetery in the 1950's.
It was the hope of Will and Elizabeth that Winfree Cemetery remain a cemetery forever.
Winfree Cemetery is operational and continues
to receive interments.
